The Jamie Winshall Coaches Award

The league would not be possible without the enthusiasm, efforts, and commitment of our coaches. The coaches are the heartbeat of the league and give countless hours of their time and energy to support the youth in our community.

Dr. James S. Winshall was an outstanding coach in the J.P. Regan Youth League. who passed away at a young age and for whom the league decided to name this award in his memory. This award was created as an important opportunity to celebrate the incredible contribution that coaches like Jamie make to our young athletes and community. 

This award celebrates Jamie; the way he showed up for others and for his tremendous contributions to our community. Each year we honor a baseball coach who best exemplifies the qualities of:

• good sportsmanship
• team spirit
• integrity and empathy
• passion for teaching and supporting young people
